Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln County vs. Herbert Hoover

The Lincoln County Panthers will head out to challenge the Herbert Hoover Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln County is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Lincoln County lost 8-1 to Ripley on Saturday. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no goals scored by either team from that point forward.

Lincoln County's goal came courtesy of James Bragg, who's now up to 29 this season.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous seven matchup, Herbert Hoover brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Everything went their way against Calvary Baptist Academy on Thursday as they made off with a 5-1 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

Herbert Hoover's victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11-2. As for Lincoln County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Lincoln County might still be hurting after the 5-2 loss they got from Herbert Hoover when the teams last played back in September of 2022. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
