Baseball Game Preview: East Mountain Timberwolves vs. Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars

The East Mountain Timberwolves will take on the Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

East Mountain's last matchup with Hope Christian could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. East Mountain came up short against Hope Christian, falling 10-3. The Timberwolves have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Charles Birdwell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Dalton Springall, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Atrisco Heritage Academy was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to La Cueva. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Jaguars were not able to get on the board.

Atrisco Heritage Academy also got a good showing from Aron Najar, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Atrisco Heritage Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ignacio Quintana, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Atrisco Heritage Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for East Mountain, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
