Basketball Recap: Glendale Takes a Loss

Glendale was the 59-52 winner over Harmony Area when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Glendale Vikings fell 60-52 to the Harmony Area Owls on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Glendale saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Rhylan Hoopsick-Bell dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Hoopsick-Bell a new career-high in steals (five). Another player making a difference was Mason Eckenrode, who posted six points in addition to eight steals and five boards.

Glendale's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Harmony Area, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Glendale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 75-61 loss against Juniata Valley on the 10th. As for Harmony Area, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 89-48 defeat against West Branch on the 11th.
