Softball Game Preview: Bradford Tornadoes vs. North Marion Colts

The Bradford Tornadoes will head out on the road to challenge the North Marion Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Bradford is leaving town to face North Marion after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Bradford took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clay on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Tornadoes in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now lost four in a row.

Kallie Yowell was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Summer Sutton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, North Marion came up short against West Port on Thursday, falling 14-2.

North Marion saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avree McCubbin, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
