Basketball Game Preview: Templeton Eagles vs. Atascadero Greyhounds

The Templeton Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Atascadero Greyhounds at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Templeton is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against San Luis Obispo on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Templeton came up short against San Luis Obispo, falling 68-43. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 25 points.

Meanwhile, Atascadero hadn't done well against Mission College Prep recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Atascadero blew past Mission College Prep 80-55. The Greyhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Templeton dropped their record down to 12-11 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Atascadero, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8.

Templeton suffered a grim 71-50 defeat to Atascadero when the teams last played on January 10th. Can Templeton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
