Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Snags 12th Victory in Last 13 Games

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Lakeside and Harlem, and Lakeside kept the tradition alive. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 two weeks ago.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lakeside took both sets by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-14.

Lakeside can attribute much of their success to Zoe Evans, who had eight digs and three aces. That's the most digs Evans has posted over her last ten matchups.

Lakeside is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Harlem, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Lakeside will welcome Greenbrier at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harlem, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Grovetown on the 9th.
