Football Recap: Jackson Academy Piles Up the Points Against Hartfield Academy

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Jackson Academy walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 50-14 win over the Hartfield Academy Hawks. Considering the Raiders have won nine matchups by more than 26 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Jackson Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaric Beasley, who rushed for 142 yards and three TDs on only 15 carries. Beasley's longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Josef Walker was another major influence, as he rushed for 70 yards and ran in a TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Jackson Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 288 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in seven consecutive games.

Jackson Academy's record is now 11-1. As for Hartfield Academy, they moved to 6-6 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Jackson Academy nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
