Softball Recap: DuBois Beavers vs. Altoona Mountain Lions

DuBois won the last time they faced Altoona and things went their way on Monday too. The Beavers blew past the Mountain Lions 13-6. The result was nothing new for the Beavers, who have now won four matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ava Baronick made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). Baronick was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

In other batting news, DuBois got a big performance out of Addi Lilja, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Elliette Brewer was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

DuBois always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Altoona only posted an OBP of .375.
