Football Game Preview: Audubon Wheelers vs. Glidden-Ralston Wildcats

Audubon is a perfect 7-0 against Glidden-Ralston since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wheelers will host the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Audubon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Glidden-Ralston likes a good challenge.

Audubon is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Iowa's top teams: Fremont-Mills, who was ranked seventh at the time (Audubon was ranked second). The Wheelers blew past the Knights 40-8 on Friday. Give the Wheelers' offense some serious credit: that high-scoring performance was actually the fewest points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Glidden-Ralston took on CAM on Friday. The Wildcats fell 54-46 to the Cougars. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Glidden-Ralston now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Audubon, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything went Audubon's way against Glidden-Ralston in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Audubon made off with a 54-28 win. Will the Wheelers repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
