Softball Recap: Oroville Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Oroville's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Marysville Indians on Friday. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 9-1 to the Indians when the teams met back in May of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Oroville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jenessa Igot, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Oroville's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Marysville, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oroville will take on Gridley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oroville will need to watch out since Gridley has now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Marysville, they will challenge Mira Loma at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
