After flying high against Willamette last Wednesday, Sheldon came back down to earth. The Irish fell just short of the Roseburg Indians by a score of 2-1 on Monday. Sheldon's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Sheldon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2-1. As for Roseburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sheldon will challenge rival North Medford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Roseburg is set to face off against their familiar foe South Eugene at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
