Basketball Recap: Javionne Harris' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Taylor over Carroll

After soaring to 66 points the game before, Taylor was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 49-28 to the Carroll Cougars. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Taylor lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Javionne Harris, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Christian Hall, who posted seven points.

Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Carroll, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4.

Looking ahead, Taylor will venture away from home to take on Alexandria-Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carroll, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-37 win against South Newton on the 22nd.
