Softball Recap: Bryan Station Takes a Loss

The Bryan Station Defenders didn't have quite enough to beat the Male Bulldogs on Saturday and fell 2-1. The Defenders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Karsyn Rockvoan was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She struck out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Bryan Station's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Male, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-10.

Bryan Station didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-3 defeat against Eastern on the 25th. As for Male, they have also already played their next matchup, an 8-0 loss against Daviess County on the 25th.
