Despite the loss, Gilmer still got an impressive performance from Zade Taylor, who rushed for 113 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.7% of his passes. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. 128 of Taylor's passing yards were hauled in by Solomon Jackson, who also brought in three receiving touchdowns.

David Richardson had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 222 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 passes, while also rushing for 57 yards and one score for Athens. That's the most passing yards Richardson has posted since back in August. Emanuel Moore was Richardson's top target, picking up 130 receiving yards and one TD.

Gilmer's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Athens, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.
