Football Game Preview: Pearl River Central Blue Devils vs. Hattiesburg Tigers + Official Tickets

Pearl River Central hasn't had much luck against Hattiesburg recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Blue Devils will take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pearl River Central will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Picayune, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Blue Devils came out on top against the Maroon Tide by a score of 28-21 on Thursday. The game was the first time the Blue Devils have beaten the Maroon Tide on their field since November 6, 2015.

Pearl River Central found their leader in sophomore Titus Feaster, who rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 284 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 12.3 yards per attempt. Qorday Russell was Feaster's top target, picking up 126 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Hattiesburg entered their tilt with Terry on Thursday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bulldogs 48-21. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Tigers had established a 20-point advantage.

Pearl River Central's record is now 7-3. As for Hattiesburg, their record now sits at 8-2.

Pearl River Central was dealt a bruising 42-0 defeat at the hands of Hattiesburg in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
