Volleyball Game Preview: Meigs Marauders vs. Nelsonville-York Buckeyes

Meigs hasn't had much luck against Nelsonville-York recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Marauders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Buckeyes at 7:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Meigs came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Alexander, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-15, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Nelsonville-York lost 3-0 to Athens on Tuesday.

Nelsonville-York was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Athens work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12, 26-24.

Meigs' loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Nelsonville-York, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Meigs suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Nelsonville-York when the teams last played back in September. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Buckeyes' Ella Vohlken, who had 20 digs and three assists. Now that the Marauders know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
