Volleyball Recap: Campo Verde Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Campo Verde was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Desert Mountain Wolves. The Coyotes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

While Campo Verde had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Campo Verde saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kendal Kellar had 11 digs and one assist. Kellar is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Mia Archibald went supernova For Desert Mountain., getting 23 digs.

Campo Verde's defeat dropped their record down to 16-19. As for Desert Mountain, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-22.

Looking ahead, Campo Verde will be playing in front of their home fans against Desert Edge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
