Recap: Moss Point Tigers vs. D'Iberville Warriors
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greene County, the Moss Point Tigers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against D'Iberville by a score of 41-28. For Moss Point, this counts as revenge for the 42-28 loss D'Iberville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Leading Moss Point to victory were Tyrese Ricardo and Quey'sean Taylor. Ricardo scored 12 points along with five rebounds, while Taylor scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jujuan Nettles, who scored four points along with nine rebounds.
Moss Point's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7. As for D'Iberville, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Moss Point won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bay Springs at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. D'Iberville will finish 2023 at home by hosting Brandon at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.
