Football Recap: Episcopal Takes a Loss

Episcopal lost against Kinkaid back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights fell 28-24 to the Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 255th, while the Falcons are ranked 118th).

Episcopal's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for Kinkaid, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Episcopal is set to square off against their familiar foe St. Mark's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Kinkaid will take on rival Cooper at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 981 yards in their previous games.
