Basketball Recap: Northview Piles Up the Points Against Riverside Military Academy

There's no place like home for Northview, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 76-31 victory over the Riverside Military Academy Eagles. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-14.

Northview was led to victory by Ashton Lin and Peter Yaun. Lin went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc on his way to 26 points, while Yaun dropped a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Harper, who posted eight points and six boards.

Northview was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverside Military Academy only posted four.

AJ Igwiloh and JJ Blackwell certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Igwiloh dropped a double-double with 13 points and 18 rebounds, while Blackwell had six points and three steals.

Northview now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Riverside Military Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Northview will host Forsyth Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Riverside Military Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Banks County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
