Basketball Game Preview: Mount de Sales Academy Cavaliers vs. Brookstone Cougars

The Mount de Sales Academy Cavaliers will take on the Brookstone Cougars in a tournament on Monday. Mount de Sales Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Brookstone will be coming in after a loss.

Mount de Sales Academy is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Friday. Everything went their way against Strong Rock Christian as they made off with a 46-20 win. The Cavaliers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since January 24th (when they won 68-36).

Meanwhile, Brookstone came up short against Kendrick on Tuesday and fell 71-59. The Cougars were down 57-34 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Mount de Sales Academy will have to contain Reid Adams as he made an impact in Brookstone's last game. He almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Fernando Oliveira Laboy, who posted eight points.

Mount de Sales Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Brookstone when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 53-50. Do the Cavaliers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
