American Fork has gone 8-2 against Lehi recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

American Fork is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Corner Canyon, who was ranked third at the time (American Fork was ranked 16th). The Cavemen lost 3-0 to the Chargers two weeks ago. The Cavemen have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-10, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Lehi came up short against Skyridge two weeks ago and fell 3-1.

Lehi was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Skyridge work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-16, 25-21, 24-26, 25-11.

American Fork will have to contain Elyse Wakumoto as she made an impact in Lehi's last game. She had 22 digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Paige Wakumoto, who had 12 digs.

American Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Lehi, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

American Fork came out on top in a nail-biter against Lehi when the teams last played on October 7th, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavemen since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
