Baseball Game Preview: Springstead Eagles vs. Nature Coast Tech Sharks

The Springstead Eagles will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Nature Coast Tech Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Springstead is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Nature Coast Tech. Springstead had just enough and edged Nature Coast Tech out 3-2.

Dalton Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up six Ks. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Springstead's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nathaniel Sabino, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Springstead skirted past Nature Coast Tech 3-2 when the teams last played on Tuesday. Will Springstead repeat their success, or does Nature Coast Tech have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
