Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Kewaskum

Kewaskum entered their tilt with New Holstein on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Huskies, sneaking past 7-5. With that win, the Indians brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Cole Loser was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Loser was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Austin Reichel, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Andrew Reichert was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3.

Kewaskum pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for New Holstein, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
