Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ayden Lake Norris and Max Westbrook Lead Berry to Victory

While Berry's win against Lamar County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 16-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Leading Berry to victory were Max Westbrook and Ayden Lake Norris. Westbrook gained 105 total yards and a touchdown, while Lake Norris rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown. What's more, Westbrook racked up 74 receiving yards, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

Berry's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Lamar County, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Berry will square off against Lynn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lamar County, they will face off against Sulligent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Blue Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.17 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
