Volleyball Recap: El Capitan Victorious

El Capitan picked up another tournament win on Friday. They came out on top against the Mar Vista Mariners by a score of 2-0.

Jacob Marquez paced El Capitan's offense, picking up 11 kills. Marquez got some help from Neil Perkins and his 16 assists. Nicholas Patterson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Several Mariners players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Holden Bell, who had nine kills and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Garcia, who had seven digs and two assists.

El Capitan's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Mar Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

El Capitan has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against O'Farrell Charter on the 1st. As for Mar Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Canyon Hills on the 1st.
