Volleyball Recap: Jensen Beach Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Jensen Beach and John Carroll Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Jensen Beach had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Rams. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Jensen Beach was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15, 25-20.

Samaya Hennessy paced Jensen Beach's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hennessy got some help from Jasmine Fortson and her 20 assists. Hennessy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Meghan Childs, who had eight digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Jensen Beach dropped their record down to 12-14 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for John Carroll Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Jensen Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for John Carroll Catholic, they have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Legacy on the 16th.
