Football Recap: Kosciusko Finds Playoff Glory Versus Corinth

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kosciusko had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 14-3 victory over the Corinth Warriors. The 14-point effort marked the Whippets' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Cj Sandifer produced another solid performance rushing for 172 yards and one TD. Those 172 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Sandifer was just one part of a punishing run game: Kosciusko was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 241 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 173 rushing yards in six consecutive games.

Kosciusko's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Corinth, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Kosciusko will venture away from home to take on Louisville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Whippets will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups. Corinth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
