Soccer Recap: Pace Academy Comes Up Short

Pace Academy came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Midtown. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Pace Academy's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Pace Academy's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-4. As for Midtown, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Pace Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Drew at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Midtown will take on rival M.L. King at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Midtown's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while M.L. King has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
