Football Game Preview: Rio Hondo Prep Kares vs. Santee Falcons + How To Watch

The Rio Hondo Prep Kares will challenge the Santee Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rio Hondo Prep will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

On Saturday, Rio Hondo Prep strolled past Brentwood School with points to spare, taking the game 47-29. Given the Kares' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Eagles are ranked 354th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Noah Penunuri had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 174 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 107.7 rushing yards per game. Nathaniel Shine was another key player, gaining 87 total yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Santee). They blew past Dr. Maya Angelou Community 61-0 on Friday. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 21 points or more this season.

Rio Hondo Prep's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Santee, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
