Football Recap: Canandaigua Academy's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

While it was Canandaigua Academy who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Irondequoit who put up more. The match between the Gray Wolves and the Eagles didn't end well, with the Gray Wolves falling 30-15. While the Gray Wolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 7-0 in the first quarter.

Leading Irondequoit to victory were Cooper Moore and Josh Barr. Moore rushed for 109 yards and two scores, while Barr rushed for 118 yards and one TD on only eight carries. Barr got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 62 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Canandaigua Academy fell to 2-1. As for Irondequoit, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Canandaigua Academy and Irondequoit should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Gray Wolves (ranked 104th) will meet Churchville-Chili (ranked 255th) on Friday. Meanwhile, Irondequoit will take on Greece Athena at 6:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (122 vs. 361).
