Volleyball Game Preview: Falcon Falcons vs. Liberty Lancers

The Falcon Falcons will head out to challenge the Liberty Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Falcon will be strutting in after a victory while Liberty will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Falcon got the win against Sierra by a conclusive 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Falcon took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-11, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Liberty came up short against Pueblo West on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Lancers haven't had much luck with the Cyclones recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-13, 25-13.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Falcon, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Everything went Falcon's way against Liberty in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Falcon made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
