Flag Football Game Preview: Beckman Patriots vs. Bonita Bearcats

The Beckman Patriots will welcome the Bonita Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Beckman will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.

Beckman took a 23-point defeat the last time they faced off against Aliso Niguel, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Patriots skirted past the Wolverines 34-32. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly two points.

Meanwhile, Bonita didn't have too much trouble with Claremont on Wednesday as they won 32-15. The Bearcats have beaten the Wolfpack the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wolfpack has come to flipping the script.

Bonita's win came from a few key players Beckman will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tressa Beatty, who threw for 137 yards and three touchdowns. Haley Kurey was in the mix too, providing Bonita with two TDs.

One reason for the win was Bonita's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Maya Caceres was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three herself. Leah Reynolds was another major factor on D, making one tackle and defending two passes in addition to snagging two interceptions which she returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Beckman's record now sits at 18-6. As for Bonita, their record is now 18-4.
