Basketball Recap: Swallows Charter Academy's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Swallows Charter Academy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Jade Anaya. The Swallows Charter Academy Spartans simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Walsenburg Panthers 58-27 thanks in part to Anaya, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 37 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Erica Ponce was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 boards. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Swallows Charter Academy's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-7. As for Walsenburg, their defeat was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Swallows Charter Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 31-27 victory against South Park on the 1st. As for Walsenburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 49-24 loss against Fowler on the 31st.
