Softball Recap: Holly Hill Academy Find Success

Holly Hill Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Charleston Math & Science Riptide.

The team relied heavily on Kaley Bell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kloie Mizell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Holly Hill Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .389 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Holly Hill Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Charleston Math & Science, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Holly Hill Academy will host Hilton Head Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Holly Hill Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Hilton Head Prep likes a good challenge. As for Charleston Math & Science, they are taking a road trip to face off against Dorchester Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
