Basketball Game Preview: Issaquah Eagles vs. Skyline Spartans

The Issaquah Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Skyline Spartans at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Issaquah didn't have quite enough to beat Bellevue and fell 58-55. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Wolverines are ranked seventh).

Meanwhile, Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 63-37 to Woodinville.

This is the second loss in a row for Issaquah and nudges their season record down to 8-7. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

Everything went Issaquah's way against Skyline in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as Issaquah made off with a 59-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Issaquah since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
