Boone County's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Conner Cougars by a score of 11-7. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rebels considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Ayden Kays looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Rossi, who scored three runs while going 4-for-4. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Mason Coughenour was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Boone County's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-6. As for Conner, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boone County will venture away from home to face off against Highlands at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Conner, they will head out to take on Simon Kenton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pioneers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
