Soccer Game Preview: Veterans Memorial vs. Wagner

The Veterans Memorial Patriots will head out to take on the Wagner Thunderbirds at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Veterans Memorial's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Veterans Memorial fell victim to New Braunfels and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Unicorns. While losing is never fun, Veterans Memorial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 742nd, while New Braunfels are ranked 161st).

Meanwhile, Wagner also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 8-0 to Tivy on Friday.

Wagner's loss dropped their record down to 9-12-3. As for Veterans Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20-1.
