Football Recap: Clarke Comes Up Short

Clarke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Woodward-Granger Hawks 42-7. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Hawks are ranked 99th).

Clarke's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Woodward-Granger, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clarke will face off against rival Clarinda at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Woodward-Granger is set to take on their familiar foe Chariton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
