Mooresville was handed a 17-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Whiteland Warriors. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Pioneers as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Aubrey Todd made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. Todd was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Khloe Goode was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Lexi Turner was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Mooresville's record is now 6-17. As for Whiteland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Warriors beat Mooresville by a score of 14-0 on Wednesday.
