The Live Oak Acorns's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ann Sobrato. Live Oak has not had much luck with Ann Sobrato recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Live Oak's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Austin Jennings, who scored 14 points. Jennings also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Raymond Ramirez, who scored 11 points.
Live Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Ann Sobrato, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Live Oak and Monte Vista Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Monte Vista Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Live Oak in California (Monte Vista Christian is ranked 381st, while Live Oak is ranked 1146th). Ann Sobrato is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Basis Independent Silicon Valley at 5:30 p.m. on December 13th.
