Volleyball Recap: Jensen Beach Comes Up Short

Jensen Beach lost against Vero Beach back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Falcons lost 3-0 to the Indians. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Jensen Beach was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21, 25-10.

Samaya Hennessy paced Jensen Beach's offense, picking up ten kills. Hennessy got some help from Jasmine Fortson and her seven assists. Finally, Hennessy was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Among those leading the charge was Sara Maresca, who had 13 digs and three aces. Those three aces gave her a new career-high.

Jensen Beach's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Vero Beach, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Indians beat Jensen Beach by a score of 2-0 on Friday.
