Baseball Recap: Verbum Dei Jesuit Takes a Loss

Verbum Dei Jesuit fell victim to Port of Los Angeles and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 10-0 to the Polar Bears. The match marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Verbum Dei Jesuit and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Port of Los Angeles, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Verbum Dei Jesuit will take on St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.22 runs per game on average), something Verbum Dei Jesuit will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Port of Los Angeles, they will be playing at home against Harbor Teacher at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
