Soccer Game Preview: Tri-State Christian vs. Avon Grove Charter

The Tri-State Christian Crusaders will challenge the Avon Grove Charter Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On October 3rd, Tri-State Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Delaware Valley Classical, taking the game 3-1. The win was all the more spectacular given Tri-State Christian's disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 202nd in Maryland, while Delaware Valley Classical are ranked 51st in Delaware).

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Avon Grove Charter rose to the challenge on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 7-2 margin over the Rams. Considering Avon Grove Charter have won six matches by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit West Nottingham with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ryan Stockar (3), Noah Ramsey (2), Josh Pablo-Medina, and Sam Neely.

The victory was the third in a row for Avon Grove Charter, bringing their record up to 10-6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those three matchups. As for Tri-State Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3-1.

Tri-State Christian suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Avon Grove Charter when the teams last played back in September. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Crusaders were down 3-0.
