Baseball Recap: Westmoreland Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Westmoreland posted their closest win since February 24th on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Macon County Tigers 5-4. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Westmoreland's victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kade Perry, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Westmoreland's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Macon County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Westmoreland will have a chance to go back-to-back against Macon County: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
