Recap: Thackerville Wildcats vs. Healdton Bulldogs
The Thackerville Wildcats lost against the Healdton Bulldogs back in January of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Thackerville fell just short of Healdton by a score of 43-40. Thackerville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Healdton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cade Ellis out in front who scored 12 points along with 3 steals. Ellis is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Wolf, who scored 10 points along with 4 steals.
Thackerville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Healdton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Thackerville will be playing in front of their home fans against Mill Creek at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Mill Creek and Thackerville are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. As for Healdton, they will square off against Springer at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
