Scott's Branch hadn't done well against Baptist Hill recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eagles managed a 20-14 victory over the Bobcats. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 32-28 win the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Baptist Hill's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Franklin, who rushed for 35 yards and one TD, and also threw for 134 yards on ten of 22 attempts. Martrell Wright got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory made it two in a row for Scott's Branch and bumps their season record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.5 points over those games. As for Baptist Hill, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.

Coming up, Scott's Branch will face off against Military Magnet Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Baptist Hill, they will take on Cross at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups.
