After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wellington, Oberlin was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Columbia Raiders. For the Phoenix, this counts as revenge for the 12-5 victory the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Drew Walter made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Walter was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Jackson Cikalo was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Julian Anderson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
