Football Game Preview: Western Reserve Blue Devils vs. Jackson-Milton Bluejays + How To Watch

Western Reserve is 8-2 against Jackson-Milton since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Blue Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. Western Reserve has given up an average of 25.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Western Reserve is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Mineral Ridge on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Blue Devils were beaten by the Rams 51-20. The Blue Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-6.

Despite their defeat, Western Reserve saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Nate Alexander, who picked up 151 receiving yards and a pair of scores, was perhaps the best of all. Alexander was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 68 yards. Timmy Serensky handled things on the ground, rushing for 119 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Meanwhile, Jackson-Milton got the win against Memorial on Friday by a conclusive 38-14. The result was nothing new for the Bluejays, who have now won three matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.

Western Reserve has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Jackson-Milton, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Western Reserve took their win against Jackson-Milton when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 27-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
