Football Game Preview: Wando Warriors vs. Berkeley Stags

Wando hasn't had much luck against Berkeley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Stags at 7:30 p.m.

Wando's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Cane Bay on Friday. They took an 8-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cobras. The shutout was out of character for the Warriors seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Meanwhile, Berkeley hadn't done well against Goose Creek recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Stags took their game with ease, bagging a 45-3 victory over the Gators. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-3.

Berkeley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.8 points over those games. As for Wando, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Wando was taken down by Berkeley 45-12 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
